Hi I’m Katie!

I fell in love with photography kind of on accident. About half way through my freshman year at the University of Central Oklahoma I realized I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I started browsing through the electives and thought it would be fun to take a photography class, but when I went to enroll I discovered only photography majors could take photography classes. So I changed my major… and never looked back!

12 years, 3 states, and countless memories I have settled here in Carbondale, Colorado with my amazing husband and our four boys... two are fur babies, but they came first so they will always be my babies! My husband Nick grew up in the Roaring Fork Valley and has helped me discover great locations between Aspen and Glenwood Springs. Some of our favorite locations include the Maroon Bells, Independence Pass, various White River National Forest areas, and we love to use Mt. Sopris as a backdrop. 

Since becoming a parent myself, I connect with my newborn clients on a whole new level now, and maaaybe get a little teary-eyed thinking about how fast my little guys are growing! Being a mom is the hardest yet most rewarding job I have ever had. It reminds me every day just how important it is to capture these memories before they pass you by.
